I was on your site tonite and appreciated your link to the Obama/Dobon piece. I am a political junkie myself but don't share that here just because I didn't design this blog as such. It read something like this: If Jesus is your co-pilot, let him drive! It was a great little statement. We definitely make the mistake of thinking that if Jesus is nearby (i.e. passenger seat of our car), that we're still abiding in him. Sad mistake. We need to trust him fully. This is great when all is going well in our lives. But as your example illustrates, we have to also be prepared to trust him during those dark moments.
