Ken Stoll A Jesus-follower by the grace of God even when I don’t feel like one. I am also the extremely proud father of Becca, Lauren, and Gabe. My passion is writing. You could describe me as an avid reader and blogger, average golfer, die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, aspiring sailor, recovering self-help junkie, critic of rule dominated living and toxic religion, hopeful Protestant, holy-roller flunky—and surprisingly, a good number of my friends are liberals.
My favorite meal would consist of a juicy rib-eye, lobster tail drenched in butter, tasty salad drowning in blue cheese dressing, baked potato smothered with sour cream, pint of Guinness, and some kind of decadent dessert made with dark chocolate.
I am helplessly dependant on God’s strength instead of my own meager willpower. Give me a vibrant relationship with God that results in transformation rather than stuffy legalism. I’m wore out with ten steps to being good—I’d prefer following Jesus to the slums, prisons, hospitals, orphanages, and brothels for the right reasons.
My education includes being a graduate of Christ For The Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas—where I studied theology, world missions, youth ministry, and pastoral counseling and leadership. I am a former youth pastor as well as conference speaker and director. Currently, I write and reside in Rochester Hills and attend Kensington Community Church in neighboring Troy, Michigan.
But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. -Acts 20:24

well well. It’s nice to know the blurb is true. I am a real sinner saved by a glorious Savior. And you are a true friend. I don’t think that will ever change. Thanks for the comment. My blog later on tonight on forgiveness will be one you like—actually I was thinking of a couple of our conversations as I was preparing some of these blogs to come in the next few days in particular for the current thread I’m writing about. So—to hear from you is a a pleasant surprise. Ken

I am very thirsty for truth and that is what you blog has been to me. I am still a youth in my walk with Jesus so I guess that still makes you a youth pastor. You are transmiting hope and healing. I for one can testify for that.
